This post is a bit of a departure from the previous family research articles. It is a link to my father’s war remembrances: Dairy of an Infantryman: The World War II Memoirs of Elvin Clarkson Cox.

As the Foreword section will explain in more detail, letters Dad wrote my mother while he was in the army provided the template for the document. Dad worked on it off and on for years, stopping when the memories became too painful.
